The Fort Hamilton High School Alumni Association was founded in 1983 with the mission to help alumni remain in touch with their classmates, keep graduates abreast of school news and provide assistance to the school and its current students.
Over the years, the Alumni Association has donated significant financial aid to the school. We have raised money to support the marching band, the football team, academic services, an electronic bulletin board, chairs and tables for banquets at the school, flags to signify the nations whose emigrants have populated our school, calculators and various items too numerous to list. Annually, the association bestows two financial awards for leadership and service to students at graduation.
The association is very proud of the accomplishments of the alumni and maintains the Fort Hamilton Wall of Fame to honor our most uniquely successful graduates. The Wall of Fame, which can be found just outside the school’s library, was erected in 1991 to commemorate the school’s 50th anniversary.
Fort Hamilton H.S. recently celebrated its 75th anniversary and is still a thriving institution committed to its mission of Excellence in Education. Joining the Alumni Association is an excellent way to remain connected to the school in a supportive role. Active members receive printed copies of the newsletters. All Lifetime Members are welcome to promote their personal businesses with a listing in our Business Directory. We proudly display the names of Gold and Silver Lifetime Members on a plaque outside the school library. Most importantly, all members know that they are giving back in some way to support our beloved alma mater.
